Theo Parrish (Sound Signature / from Detroit)

デトロイトに拠点をおくDJ／プロデューサー、Theo Parrish（セオ・パリッシュ）。
ワシントンDCに生まれ、年少期をシカゴで育ちオリジナルなハウスミュージックの洗礼を受けた。その後カンザスシティーのKansas City Art InstituteではSound Sculpture（音の彫刻）を専攻する。1994年、デトロイトに移住。1998年、UK名門Peace Frogからファーストアルバム『First Floor』を発表。自身の主宰するレーベルSound Signatureより、アルバム『Parallel Dimensions』(2000)、『Sound Sculptures Volume 1』(2007)、『Sketches』(2010)、『American Intelligence』(2014)をリリース、常に新しい発想と自由な表現で作品を世に送り出す。2023年、Maurissa Roseを迎えたアルバム『Free Myself』を発表。
数多くのDJ MIXを発表し、Black Jazz Records音源を用いた『Black Jazz Signature』、デトロイトのアーティストによる未発表楽曲のみで構成された『DJ-Kicks Detroit Forward』をリリースしている。Plastic People(London,UK)でのレギュラーを務め上げ、現在Nowadays(NYC)でレギュラーを担当している。
